Hi! We're Brenda and Nicole, and we're the mother-daughter-duo behind Public Coverings.
In the spring of 2020, as items flew off of shelves in preparation for the pandemic, the US experienced a shortage in supply for face coverings. Brenda put her 50+ years of seamstress experience to work for the good of the public. She donated over one thousand face coverings to healthcare workers across the country and folks in the local community.
After a short while, to keep up with community demand, she started selling them from her front porch. Week after week, she would place dozens of handmade face coverings outside and they continued to sell beyond expectation.
Over the course of producing several thousand face coverings and completing many hours of research, Brenda developed her unique design to achieve optimal comfort, fit and protection.
With the help of her daughter, who has a background in apparel design and technology, they decided to bring their operation online, where it can better reach and help folks around the world.
Each face covering is made with love and care in Washington State at the hands of a professional and is made with only the highest quality materials.
Thanks for your support!
